This morning, the Irish Permanent Mission hosted the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency at a working breakfast with EU Heads of Mission. Our thanks to the DG for briefing us on latest developments ahead of the upcoming meetings of the IAEA Board of Governors and the 70th IAEA General Conference later this month. This week, the Embassy/Permanent Mission welcomed our new Second Secretary and Consul, Seán McKiernan, who comes from Dublin and was and was most recently assigned to the Embassy of Ireland in Riyadh. Seán looks forward to meeting the Irish community in Austria and working with colleagues in the International Organisations here.

Er stammt aus Dublin und war zuletzt zugewiesen an der irischen Botschaft in Riad Seán freut sich darauf, in den kommenden Monaten Mitglieder der irischen Gemeinschaft in Österreich zu treffen und eng mit Kolleginnen und Kollegen der internationalen Organisationen hier zusammenzuarbeiten.

Today we said goodbye to our Second Secretary, Katie Dagg, as her posting to Vienna comes to an end. Wishing Katie the best in her future and saying “Auf Wiedersehen” to her and her husband, Pierre.
