INTRENEX is an open Platform that will provide a new financing model to finance the fast global transition to a renewable energy supply. The main idea of this transition is the concept of an international supergrid connecting regions with high renewable energy potential to the consumers of renewable energy via a network of HVDC lines. This concept is mainly based on the thesis of Dr. Gregor Czisch

. I am in close relation with Mr. Czisch about the project but he is currently not an employee of INTRENEX. The INTRENEX enterprise might be labelled as a “green fintech”.

German energy prices are going up.
Can renewable energy system do something about that? In theory yes but not with every raw material for the transition going up as well.

There has been a little work over the last 200 years about the capitalist system. Unfortunately it did not go away but engulfs more and more of our world. Can it be altered or does it have to leave? From what I read from Tainter, there exists a repeating pattern across all civilizations. I think it is time again to ask the hard question of civilization.

Will it ever be possible, to decide on what to grow for what reason to which size? Renewables might need stronger growth.

In this short document, you find what exactly was agreed in the Paris COP21 climate change agreement:
http://leave-it-in-the-ground.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Post-Paris-Carbon-Budget-LINGO.pdf

Unfortunatley politicians that followed the proposals by the IPCC and mostly all humans that believe there was some sort of a break through have no clue at all how this decision came about and what it really means. Therefore it is quite reasonable to say that this goal is a bad decision based on incomplete asessment of the information available.
In 2014 David Wasdall explained in a lengthy session what the goals that were set in 2014 mean for the problem that was finally signed by all politicians in 2015.
I really recommend that you watch his 1 hour presentation that explains the two elephants in the room for the 2 degrees target.
The severity of the problem can not be communicated when it requires more than 15 seconds of attention that is hard to get today. I hope that you will have a better understanding of the problem, and therefore a better understanding why we must take very bold steps in a very short time frame , when you watch this video:

Intrenex posted a new blog post about the crisis of science. You may read it here: http://www.intrenex.com/?p=487

Ugo Bardi has recently published a strong aticle about the reson why climate science failed as science as a whole failed. You can read it

I want to introduce you to the latest technical term on the fornt of clean global energy generation. It is called

WWS: wind, water, and sunlight

I think we should all use this term from now on, as "renewable" makes no sense in the realm of energy. Also the energy generating units will not be renewed by the sun, the water or the wind.

Here you can read a recent study of Mark Z. Jacobson from Atmosphere/Energy Program, Dept. of Civil and Env. Engineering, Stanford University about what it takes to go to 100% WWS energy generation until 2050 on a global scale:
