Abergowrie K-6 children and playgroup families recognised and celebrated Reconciliation Week, to create a meaningful display of Sea Of Hearts.
The children shared messages of kindness, respect, and connection through their artwork, exploring what Reconciliation means to them in simple and creative ways.
Together, these hearts reflect our shared journey of learning, understanding, and coming together as a community.

Last week we had fun painting and making caterpillar grass seeds. Thank you for your beautifully decorated hearts and for being part of Connecting the Dots , Cheeky Monkeys Playgroup. 💛

Abergowrie State School took part in QLD Biggest Classroom.
Charlie, who was one of only five children selected to represent North Queensland and ask questions to the Premier and the Minister for Education as part of QLD Day celebrations.
Charlie confidently asked the Minister, "What does it mean to be a Queenslander? Well done, Charlie! We couldn't be prouder. 👏⭐️

Children have been helping to water the vegetables and fruit trees. They are exploring how plants grow, noticing changes in the garden, and learning that plants need water, sunlight, and care to stay healthy. These hands-on experiences help build curiosity, responsibility, and a connection to nature.

Our students had a fantastic day at NQ Field Days! Highlights included cheering on the duck races, learning about incredible robotic dogs, and exploring the many exhibits showcasing agriculture, technology, and innovation. The day provided plenty of opportunities for hands-on learning and gave students a glimpse into the exciting careers and technologies shaping our future.

Thank you to Link2Country for providing this wonderful opportunity and for supporting our students to connect with learning experiences beyond the classroom. Your ongoing commitment to education and community partnerships is greatly appreciated.
