The Greens are the only party to be powered from the bottom-up, engaging members and supporters every step of the way. We have the courage to stand with you to create a more caring society. Over the course of the last four decades, the Greens have become the third force in Australian politics. Across Australia there are currently Greens representing you at every level of government: not only nine
Greens Senators and one MP in the Federal Parliament, but also 21 Greens Members in State Parliaments and more than 100 Greens councillors (including several Mayors and Deputy Mayors) working in local communities. Together, we have delivered results — like Denticare and the Clean Energy Act. PAGE COMMENTS POLICY:
The core principles of the Australian Greens (SA) include non-violence and participatory democracy. On this page we aim to inform the on-line community of the work our MPs are doing in Parliament, the community and the media, as well as engage as many people as possible in constructive discussions about Greens issues and politics. We recognise that contentious issues often evoke passionate responses. However, while encouraging open participation there are limits to acceptable communication. We welcome all kinds of comments and thoughts; supportive, dissenting, critical or otherwise, as long as they are made in the spirit of constructive and civilised dialogue. Violent language on the other hand is not welcome here.
•Polite language please! Coarse, racist, sexist or homophobic language, defamation, abuse and attacks are not acceptable.
•Please do your best to stay on topic.
•Please try to avoid excessively frequent or long comments, which may discourage others from participating. If you have a lot to add, write a Facebook note and link to it.
•No hawkers. This page is NOT somewhere to sell your goods and services, or spruik off-topic issues or campaigns. Any comment with more than two links could be marked as comment spam.
•Trolling and Sockpuppetry are not acceptable
