💛 Building big feelings into lifelong skills! 💛

Some of our classes have been exploring emotions, friendships and resilience through the Kimochis program.

Using fun characters, stories and activities, students have been learning to recognise and name their feelings, practice calming strategies, show kindness and empathy, respect personal boundaries, take responsibility for their actions and work through everyday challenges.
Ask your child about their Kimochis friends—Cloud ☁️, Cat 🐱, Bug 🐞, Lovey Dove 🕊️ and Huggtopus 🐙—and see if they can tell you what each one has taught them!

It's been wonderful to see these skills come to life around the school, with students confidently talking about their feelings, taking a deep breath when emotions are big, having a "redo" and supporting one another with kindness.

We're so proud of the confidence, compassion and positive relationships our students are building skills they'll carry with them for years to come. 💙

A huge thank you to Mandy, who runs this program with such passion and enthusiasm!

🎉 What a colourful way to celebrate! 🌈

This term, our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) focus has been “Calm Bodies, Quiet Voices.” Throughout the term, students earned tokens by demonstrating these positive behaviours and then voted for their favourite whole-school reward.

The winner? 🥁 Wear Your Colours Day!

Today, our school was a sea of colour, with students proudly wearing the colours of the sports and activities they love. From AFL and netball to soccer, dance and so much more, it was fantastic to see such a wonderful variety across the school. 💙💛 A special good luck to the Thunderbirds in the Grand Final this weekend! 🩷🩷🖤🩷🩷

A huge congratulations to all of our students for the positive choices they have made this term. Your calm bodies and quiet voices have helped make our school a happy, respectful place to learn. What a fantastic way to finish the term together! 🌟
