SA partnership marks new dawn in local defence tech 🤝

Adelaide companies Praetorian Aeronautics and Zero Dawn have teamed up to develop a critical capability that will enhance air and missile defence systems in Australia and allied nations.

The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding that will seek to integrate Zero Dawn’s locally-manufactured mu*****ns into Praetorian’s counter-unmanned aerial system, which is designed to detect and intercept drones and other unmanned systems in contested environments.

🛠️ Last week, our team attended PEER's WorldSkills Australia Regional Competition, where competitors from across Australia put their plumbing and electrical skills to the test.

It was a great opportunity to meet so many talented apprentices and discuss how their skills can be applied to a range of exciting careers in South Australia’s defence industry.

Laying the foundation for the first Hunter class frigate ⚓

A keel laying ceremony marked a major milestone in the construction of the first of six Hunter class frigates at Osborne Naval Shipyard in Adelaide’s north.

The event marks an important step in the delivery of the frigates, which will provide the Royal Australian Navy with a world-class anti-submarine warfare capability while underpinning thousands of jobs and strengthening sovereign shipbuilding capability in South Australia.
