✅ The Adelaide University Union Budget Support service is one of our proudest achievements in our short time as your student representatives.

✅ COVID-19 has created significant financial hardship for many students, and free professional financial counselling will make a real difference to students' lives.

✅ Connect Board Directors championed this initiative from the get go, and redirected $18,000 that was previously used to send political hacks to the National Union of Students National Conference (read: junket).

✅ While Unite Adelaide Uni (Labor Right) would rather use your hard earned SSAF money to network with their mates interstate at a week-long pissup, Connect would prefer to continue to advocate for practical policies that will deliver real outcomes for students at Adelaide University.

Student Care is partnering with Uniting Communities to provide a new and free Budget Support service for students wanting assistance to:

👉🏻 understand bills
👉🏻 learn tips and strategies to help save money
👉🏻 support and advocate for those in hardship
👉🏻 apply for grants and concessions.
👉🏻 seek practical information and support

A huge congratulations to Connect candidates Hamish Probert and Evi Cacas who filled the casual vacancies for SRC Q***r Officer and SRC Social Justice Officer last night!

Both Hamish and Evi proved they were the best candidates for their roles through the interview process, and we look forward to seeing the great things they will achieve in the remainder of their terms.

Hamish and Evi join General Secretary Isaac Trumble, Rural Officer Andrew Vogelsang, and General Councillor Peter Tantalos as members of the Connect team on the SRC.

Connect is proud to represent LGBT+ students at The University of Adelaide, and proud to fight for social justice for all students in these challenging times.

Congratulations to Tharun Rameshbabu who was elected an AUU Board Director last night! Tharun will be a brilliant advocate for students, and we can't wait to see what he does on Board. 💚

Congratulations also to our friends over at Progress UofA for getting 2 AUU Board Directors elected. We look forward to working with them very closely in the future!
