The Kingston branch of the SA Greens is committed to a grassroots movement of participatory democracy, focussed on ecological sustainability, social justice, and peace and non-violence in our community and beyond. Kingston is a large electorate south of Adelaide from Happy Valley, O'Halloran Hill and Hallett Cove in the north to Sellicks Beach in the south, following South Road and the Onkaparinga

River (and currently including Old Noarlunga but excluding McLaren Vale, McLaren Flat and Willunga). It doesn't, as the name might suggest, include Kingston or Kingston SE! Kingston is the federal electorate that incorporates components of the State Electoral Districts of Kaurna, Davenport, Hurtle Vale, Reynell and Black. The Greens vision for a sustainable, compassionate and fair nation has great relevance to residents of Kingston. We care about public transport, health, dental, and education services, a fair go for all and helping people in need. We care about the health of the gulf, the long term viability of our vineyards and other local food producers. We want a society that is linked by excellent bike lanes and that provides local jobs and local health care services - including primary and emergency health care.

After Anthony Albanese flew into Adelaide for Labor’s national conference today, our billboards calling for an end to native forest logging were taken down.

These billboards were there to welcome delegates with a message the party doesn’t want to confront: 80% of Labor voters and the majority of Australians support an end to native forest logging.

Our campaign wasn’t the only one silenced. Other nature campaign billboards were removed too, while mining advertisements were left standing.

Hi all, It's NAIDOC Week between 6 July and 13 July. There's a series of events across the Adelaide CBD and North Adelaide and there will also be a NAIDOC Parade and other events around the suburbs.

NOTE: The NAIDOC March and Family Fun Day at Christies Beach planned for Wed 1 July has been POSTPONED due to forecast heavy rain. More details when they are available.

Kingston Greens is planning to participate in the Christies Beach march, walking with our First Nations People. We would like as many of our local Greens Members and supporters to be there as possible as part of our contingent. Keep an eye on this post for details of the rescheduled date and time.

Please message us via this page if you are able to be with us at the March in Christies on Wednesday. The march itself will take about an hour but you are welcome to stay for the food and cultural celebrations at Rotary Park afterwards.
