National Reconciliation Week 27th May - 3rd June ❤️💛🖤

This year’s National Reconciliation Week theme, “All In”, encourages all Australians to work together towards reconciliation through respect, understanding and strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Next week, our students will engage in a range of meaningful learning experiences and activities, as well as participate in our Reconciliation Week assembly.

These opportunities support our students to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and perspectives, while continuing to build a community grounded in respect, inclusion and connection. Through this learning, we continue to live our school values of being kind through showing respect and empathy for others, being curious by learning from different perspectives and histories, and being our best by working together to create a more inclusive future for all.

MINDFULNESS MONDAY- see everyone in the hall this morning at 8.40am-8.50am to start our week feeling present, centred and grounded with our mindfulness practice. You can bring your bag to the hall or you can go via your classroom, do your unpacking and join us afterwards!

💐 Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mums, grandmothers, carers and special mother figures in our school community! 💖

Today we celebrate the love, care, patience and support you give each and every day. Thank you for the countless ways you nurture, encourage and inspire our children to grow and thrive. 🌸✨

We also take a moment to think of and honour the mums and mother figures who are no longer with us, holding close the love and memories that continue to live on in our hearts. 🤍

We hope you enjoy a day filled with love, laughter and a little time to relax — you deserve 💕💐🌺

Dear Families, to celebrate the upcoming Reconciliation Week (27th May- 3rd June) and NAIDOC Week (7th-14th July) we are offering specially decorated donuts for our school and preschool children to purchase.
* The donuts have can only be ordered via QKR app.
* There is a limit of 1 donut per school or preschool child.
* Orders must be placed by the end of the school day on 27th May.
* Donuts will be delivered to children in class at the end of the day on the 2nd June.
* If a yellow group preschool child places an order they can come in and collect them from the front office on the Tuesday or wait until their preschool day on the Wednesday to collect them.

IT'S BACK- MINDFULNESS MONDAY will begin again tomorrow morning in the hall from 8.40am-8.50am. We invite students and family members to join us for some indoor mindfulness, engaging in being present in the moment, noticing what we can hear and see. We have a series of 10min mindfulness music clips to help us ease into the school week. Each attendee will earn a house point (bonus point if a family member attends with you)!
