Congratulations to our two Year 5/6 Hiragana teams who represented Glenelg Primary at the inter-school Southern Hiragana Competition at Reynella East College this morning. We are very proud of their achievements, with one team finishing in the top 4 and the other in the top 10 out of 25 teams. よくできました！ (Well done!)

From Wednesday 27 May to Wednesday 3 June, we observe National Reconciliation Week. At Glenelg Primary School, we respect and celebrate First Nations culture every day, actively working together towards the goals of our school’s Reconciliation Action Plan.
This year’s NRW theme is 'All In', and students and staff have contributed to a vibrant display in the library window.
A highlight of this week will be a special performance by Kaurna man Jack Buckskin. We are very excited to welcome him and look forward to his visit.

Our Year 4 and Year 3/4 students from Rooms 18, 19, and 20 recently visited Glenelg Beach for an exciting ‘Caring for our Coast’ excursion! Students worked with Habitat Heroes and the council’s Urban Greening Officer to restore sand dunes, explored the beach, and learned about protecting local wildlife, including the threatened Hooded Plover. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and pride as they put their sustainability learning into action. Thank you to our amazing staff, parent volunteers, and students for supporting our coast and community!
