AusAlert is a new national emergency warning system that sends urgent messages to compatible mobile phones and other mobile devices in a specified area.
An upcoming trial will take place in Port Lincoln and local organisations are invited to be part of the conversation.

AusAlert is being trialled in Port Lincoln, and local organisations are invited to be part of the conversation.
Businesses, agencies, community groups, service providers, sporting clubs, education providers, tourism operators, not-for-profits, and local leaders are invited to attend an AusAlert information session on Wednesday, 13 May.
These sessions will explain:
- What AusAlert is
- What to expect during the Port Lincoln community-based trial
- How AusAlert works with existing emergency information and warning channels
- How local organisations can help share information with their communities
There will be an opportunity ask questions about the community-based trial, and AusAlert in general.
