What a wonderful evening of learning and connection we experienced at our Inquiry Learning Exhibition on Tuesday! It was fantastic to see so many families come through our classrooms, taking the time to listen, ask questions and celebrate the learning our students have undertaken.
One of the most important aspects of the exhibition was the opportunity for students to talk about their learning rather than simply display what they had produced. Explaining their thinking, describing the inquiry process, sharing challenges they encountered and reflecting on how their ideas changed along the way helps students develop a deeper understanding of themselves as learners. It also builds confidence, communication skills, ownership and the ability to reflect on both their successes and next steps.
A sincere thank you to all of our families who attended. Your presence matters. When students have an authentic audience for their learning, it gives greater purpose to the work they do and sends a powerful message that their ideas, effort and growth are valued.
Thank you also to our students for sharing their learning with such enthusiasm, to our staff for the thoughtful learning experiences they have designed. The exhibition was a wonderful celebration of our learning community and the curious, capable learners within it.
