Dr Christel Mex 🏫 Councillor for City of Norwood, Payneham & St Peters
🌳 Park Lands Association Committee
Authorised by Christel Mex, PO Box 685, Kensington Park, SA.

Views my own. I have been a local for 26 years and am a proud Greens candidate for the seat of Dunstan in next state election. For the past 11 years I have served as a councillor for the City of Norwood, Payneham & St Peters. I ran for Council to advocate for our heritage, recreation facilities, precious open space, tree canopy and to help our volunteers. As a committee member of the Adelaide Park

Lands Association, and past president of Community Alliance SA, I have a keen appreciation of what the community cares about. Ensuring that we have open and transparent government is important to me and I want to see a community where all people are informed and engaged in community life. I completed a PhD in 2019 investigating why leaders of our community groups and associations are leaving their roles. I used this knowledge in my role as Chair of the South Australian Volunteering Strategy, which aims to improve the volunteering experience and increase participation. I acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the Traditional Owners of this country throughout Australia, and their connection to land and community. The views expressed on this page are my own, and not necessarily those of SA Greens or the Norwood, Payneham & St Peters Council. Authorised by Dr Christel L Mex, PO Box 685, Kensington Park, 5068.

If there was the will, we could have done this a few years ago.

If there was the will, we could have done this a few years ago.

A Central Coast business is converting diesel trucks to electric, amid rising fuel prices across Australia, with the first end-to-end electric delivery from Sydney to Canberra highlighting the potential of battery-powered freight.

Running for state office is both a privilege and challenging - it thickens your skin and widens your heart. I met so many joyful volunteers at the booths and working hard at democracy sausage sizzles! Congratulations to Cressida O'Hanlon MP for her win in Dunstan, and thank you to Dr Anna Finizio for her dedication and hard work for our community. It was lovely to meet my new neighbour Independent Dr Ian McBryde running a very energetic campaign! Final results aren't in, but The Greens SA increased our votes across the state, including Dunstan! We would love to see more three-party preferred graphs - this one is courtesy of The Poll Bludger.

I agree with Theo Maris on this one.

I agree with Theo Maris on this one.

As South Australia votes in its state election, concern continues to grow over developments that chip away at the famous park lands surrounding the city’s centre.

This is it - tomorrow's the big one.

As you head to the polls, remember your vote is powerful.

Every vote for the Greens is a vote for hope, not hate.
It's saying no, to letting one party call all the shots, or letting hate tear us all apart.
It's putting people first, and pushing for the things we need right now like:

🪙Real action on the cost of living
🏠 Affordable housing for all
🌏Climate action now
🌊Protecting our environment
🫶Standing up for peace

Whether you're joining us now, or you've been with us from the start, we cannot thank you enough for your support. Everything you’ve been doing - every doorknock, chat, phonecall, letterbox drop, and every minute on the polling booths has been building towards this moment.

Our movement is stronger than ever, and we're filled with hope thanks to each and every one of you who've joined us along the way.

Let's do this SA!

Together, we can push for better 💚
