Views my own. I have been a local for 26 years and am a proud Greens candidate for the seat of Dunstan in next state election. For the past 11 years I have served as a councillor for the City of Norwood, Payneham & St Peters. I ran for Council to advocate for our heritage, recreation facilities, precious open space, tree canopy and to help our volunteers. As a committee member of the Adelaide Park
Lands Association, and past president of Community Alliance SA, I have a keen appreciation of what the community cares about. Ensuring that we have open and transparent government is important to me and I want to see a community where all people are informed and engaged in community life. I completed a PhD in 2019 investigating why leaders of our community groups and associations are leaving their roles. I used this knowledge in my role as Chair of the South Australian Volunteering Strategy, which aims to improve the volunteering experience and increase participation. I acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the Traditional Owners of this country throughout Australia, and their connection to land and community.
