A quick check of the odds. Another bet during work. Could gambling be affecting more than your bank balance?

New research shows that men aged 18 to 39 account for more than 40% of gambling harm in South Australia.

Gambling harm isn't always obvious. It can start affecting your work, relationships and everyday life before you realise it.

For people sleeping rough, pets are family, and no one should have to choose between getting help and staying with their best mate. 🐾

Together with Safe Pets Safe Families, homelessness sector staff and volunteers, we've prepared 50 extreme weather packs to help keep their furry friends safe during the summer heat. 🐢

Each pack includes a collapsible water bowl, protective socks, a cooling bandana and practical tips for recognising and responding to heat stress.

A big thank you to homelessness sector partners Hutt St Centre, Toward Home Alliance and BaptistCare SA for assisting with the distribution of these packs ahead of the 2026-27 Code Red season.

Young people's voices and views matter. πŸ“£

That's why the new Children and Young Persons Lived Experience Advisory Network (CYP LEAN) is putting lived experience at the centre of domestic, family and sexual violence reform.

Designed with young people, the network gives children and young people a safe and supported way to share their experiences and help improve the systems that support them.

There are two ways to get involved:

πŸ‘‰ Staff who run programs or services for young people affected by violence can submit an Expression of Interest to join the network as a General Member.

πŸ‘‰ Young people can speak with a service or program they're connected to about opportunities to get involved as a Youth System Advisor.

Over 200 young South Australians came together last week for the 5th annual metropolitan Kick Out Hate soccer tournament! ⚽

The rain couldn't stop them from bringing great energy, lots of team spirit and plenty of friendly competition - and goals - to the pitch. But the biggest win? Connection, inclusion and young people standing up against hate.

A huge thanks to our main partners One Culture Football and Australian Federal Police as well as all the stallholders for helping make the day happen!

Amata school holidays program helps kids to play, stay and eat healthy πŸ€ΈπŸ€

What do you get when you bring together 12 medical students and a group of excited Amata kids and young people? A whole lot of fun and connection!

During the school holidays, a group of University of Adelaide medical students headed to Amata as part of their studies to run a local youth program, which gives school-aged children and young people aged 5 to 18 an interactive, fun and educational way to learn about health, healthy eating and general wellbeing. From swimming in waterholes and cooking kangaroo tails to making bracelets, playing footy and basketball or dancing, there was never a dull moment. The kids even got to practice their bandaging skills!
