🚨 Incident call 24/05/2026 02:24pm 🚨 This afternoon, our brigade was alerted to attend a motor vehicle accident (MVA). On arrival, crews established that a vehicle had lost control and come to rest, ending up on its side not far off the edge of the roadway. The vehicle had 2 occupants on board, with 1 occupant sustaining injuries and transported to hospital. Crews were on scene for approximately 45 minutes, providing fire suppression while the vehicle was recovered and removed from the scene.

Today we were honoured to be able to assist our friends Helensburgh Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade do something really special…

CHAYSE’S COOL RIDE TO SCHOOL I Today on behalf of 2DayFM Breakfast with Nath & Emma we had the privilege of taking Chayse on a Cool Ride to School in a NSW Rural Fire Service Truck !!

Our Crew were joined by NSW RFS - Georges River Brigade and Lawrence Thomas from the Western Sydney Wanderers FC for their ride, making sure he arrived at school in style.

None of this would have been possible without Fire Fighter Brett, who had heard the story of this young man and wanted to do whatever we could to make his wish of being dropped at school in a Fire Truck come true.

We also want extend special mentions to Albion Park Rural Fire Station & Gerringong Rural Fire Brigade for making sure we had the right vehicle for the task !

Today we were joined by our friends from Gerringong Rural Fire Brigade at our monthly Saturday training day. Gerringong bought along their new Tatra Pumper providing our members with the opportunity to look over the new vehicle and gain an understanding of the difference to other RFS pumpers and the impacts those differences have on some of our standard process. These sessions are vital in ensuring that when the need arises to work along other bridges, we can do so safely and effectively. We thank Gerringong for their time and the opportunity to familiarise ourselves with their new pumper.

Happy St Florian's Day also known as International Firefighters' day!

Named after the patron saint of firefighters, it’s a moment to recognise the work firefighters do every day: protecting communities, supporting each other, and showing up when it matters most.

Today we acknowledge the contribution of firefighters everywhere and the pride that comes with serving our communities.

A big day today for our crew attending Stage 1 of the National Parks and Wildlife Royal Central Hazard Reduction at Waterfall. Working with crews from National Parks, NSW RFS - Mt Keira Brigade, Dapto Rural Fire Brigade, NSW RFS - Mount Kembla Brigade, Otford RFS, Sandy Point RFS, Stanwell Park Rural Fire Brigade, after a slow/ delayed start due to rain over night, once the clouds clear and sun started to shine crews worked along the Uloola Fire trail completing a large portion of the planned 400+ hectare burn. We even assisted some local wildlife avoid the hot zone. Huge effort by all involved today with a very successful outcome, Well done.
