Hi All,
We had a good drop earlier in the week, but thursday the weather cleared so we were out and about again!
The soil has gone a lot softer now, too easy for the Echidnas to probe the grounds for yummy snacks😄
The rain also brought out all kinds of Fungi, amzing colours some have!
After going round, we held our monthly meeting at the container and treated ourselves to a well deserved sausage sizzle, while making plans for future jobs 😋😋😋
What next week’s weather is going to do, we’ll see. A lot more rain forcasted👍

Hi All,
Cruizy day at Landcare, finishing trackwork, think we have nearly done them all now.
Next focus will be on weeding, they are growing and start to be realy visible. If we get the rain they forcasted, the ground will get softer which makes our work a lot easier…..
Walking around we noticed all these “blobs”, they were only on the Hop bushes. We think it is a kind of mistletoe but not sure. Looks totally different than other mistletoes in the reserve….
We checked under and around the “Old Gummie” for weeds, and after seeing this tree for years, we are still in awe of the beauty of it! Home to many birds🥰

Hi All,
More trackwork done and while driving/working around we also enjoyed the vieuws along the tracks.
It was a beautiful morning, no wind, sun was out😎
Couple of more tracks to check, and marking spots where weeds have been treated so we’re on the ball…
On our way back we saw this critter resting high on a slope. Realy stood out because of the colour of fur, it seems so light! Most of the locals are a lot darker. Had to magnify a lot to see it better.
We had some doubts on what animal it was actually, the ears seem so round for a Roo….
Plenty of weeds coming up as well now the weather cooled down and we had some rain. The busy season starts.😃💪

Hi All,
Today we worked on the track leading up to the container, keeping the tracks open and wide enough for emergency cars and things like that….
The going is slow, so plenty of time to have a close look at what is growing along the track, and there was a little metal-art surprise, so funny😄😄😄😄
Saw big beautiful Grasstrees and even here and there colours are appearing! Nice to see as it is still very dry, but with a bit more rain the place will be booming again😊

Hi All,
It was a beautiful day!
Sun was out and no wind😃 we went around looking what and where needed our most attention and we decided to tackle a big patch of Scabiosa that already started flowering. So got them out to prevent them setting seed.
To our suprise the little tractor started in one go! She has been dormant for a couple of months, but all good👍
We also found a HUGE bull-ant’s nest where the Echidnas have been feeding🙂 The Echidnas are just like little excavators, churning the whole ground over to get to them.
Hope it comes out on the foto…
Sometimes we also take time to just look at the beauty of the place. The vieuws are stunning🥰

Hi All,
It has been quiet on the page for a while, not much to do besides monitoring and keeping the pond topped up for the local wildlife.
After the latest rains it is nice to see the reserve “waking up” and green patches appearing.
The weeds are growing as well, so time to het back into our regular working bees!
Soon there will be a bit more to graze for our local Kangaroos🥰
