This Australian Army official page is for all past and present members, family and friends of the 6th Engineer Support Regiment.
6 ESR is the Army's largest and most diverse Engineer Regiment, which includes two Construction Squadrons, an EOD Squadron and an Operational Support Squadron. The Regiment is currently spread across three locations: Amberley, Enoggera, and Holsworthy.

Ex Wallaby Walk 2026 💥

An outstanding force assurance activity for Army's expeditionary EOD capability at Wide Bay, Queensland.

This year we were joined by other members of the ADF EOD community including the RAAF 65 Sqn and RAN CDT 4. Participants from 1 INT Bn,
2 CER, 8/9 RAR, 1 EHS, 2 HB, and 21 Const Sqn were intergral to achieving wider training outcomes.

The NZDF and the USMC made strong contributions and enabled skills exchange and interoperability.

The activity focused on large scale combat operations, disposing advanced munitions, and countering emerging explosive threats to protect our people.

21 Construction Squadron has been busy across multiple lines of effort.

Our team is currently preparing equipment for deployment to Tonga, ensuring we remain ready to support the close region.

Alongside this, personnel have successfully completed a sawmilling course, enhancing our capability to win resources and materials. We’ve also conducted a gap reconnaissance in preparation for the 1st Division Warfighter.

Proud to see our people delivering across training, preparation, and operations.

Over the weekend a group from across all Squadrons at 6ESR is participating in the 24 Hours of Heros competition, where the team ("Powered by Peer Pressure") has to complete a hero workout on the hour every hour, for 24 hours!

They are raising money for Wounded Heros Australia, a local charity that supports veterans, families and first responders. Please consider supporting through the link below.

20EOD Squadron prepare for OP Render Safe, confirmatory reconnaissance in Papua New Guinea ✅️. The Australian Army working closely with the Papua New Guinea Defence Force to prepare for the disposal of Explosive Remnants of War later this year.

6ESR hit the ground running this Fighting Friday with a high-intensity Battle PT session designed to build combat fitness and teamwork. In Squadron teams, the soldiers pushed through demanding stands including stores carry, leopard crawling, and casualty drags, testing strength, endurance, and resilience.

6 ESR, 20 EOD Sqn hosting CASG, AHQ CEH, DFSS and the US DOD Program Office for Joint EOD.

SGT Rutherford and team provided the CUAS demonstration at Hansan's Farm to show how Army EOD conducts tactical task, and implements force protection measures.

Change of Command Ceremony 🫡

In a reflective ceremony, our unit’s leadership team honoured the achievements of our people before formally passing the helm to a new team.

We thank LTCOL Harrison and WO1 King for their leadership over the last two years and proudly welcome LTCOL Jankalns and WO1 Logie to our unit.
