🎬🌟 ARAMAC TAKES THE SPOTLIGHT! 🌟🎬
What happens when Aramac students take local inspiration and turn it into their own screen stories?
During an Engaging Science Eco-tourism Digital Storytelling Workshop with Noosa Film Academy, students explored acting, camera, sound and production roles using professional screen equipment while putting their own wonderfully local spin on the stories.
🪶 Wild Wall had black kites inspired by Aramac’s iconic mural take flight in the students’ story
🌠 Pony Paradise saw shooting stars and the spectacular night sky shape a distinctly local adventure

🎁 Blast from the Past had the cousins surprise Uncle Bazza with an unexpected trip down memory lane
There was plenty of imagination, laughter and teamwork along the way, with students discovering just how much goes into bringing an idea to the screen.
One student summed it up beautifully:
“We can work together and make stories up.”

🌟 PBL Focus – Be Respectful: Play Fair 🌟

This week, our PBL focus is Be Respectful – Play Fair.

Playing fair is about more than just following the rules. It’s also about how we treat the people around us.

Whether we’re playing a game, competing in a sport, working as a team or just having fun with our friends, we can show respect by:
⭐ Including others and giving everyone a fair go
⭐ Following the rules – even when no one is watching
⭐ Speaking respectfully when we disagree
⭐ Being a good winner and a good loser
⭐ Keeping our hands, feet and unkind comments to ourselves
⭐ Remembering that having fun shouldn’t come at someone else’s expense

Things won’t always go our way, and sometimes other people will frustrate us. Being respectful means managing how we respond, even when we’re annoyed, disappointed or disagree with what has happened.

At our school, we want everyone to feel safe, included and respected – on the playground, in the classroom, on excursions and everywhere in between. 💙

Play fair. Be kind. Show respect.

Not to blow our own horn, but we made 97% attendance last week! 🎉

And our Years 5–10 all had 100% attendance! 🙌

Final day of Snow Camp before a big travel day tomorrow saw students pay their respects to our men and women in the armed forces, a quick trip out to Mt Ainsley and a visit to debate laws at Parliament House. 📚 🧐

Day 6 of Snow Camp and we've been out exploring Canberra! We started our morning with a quick walk around the city centre then headed off for an art lesson at the National Gallery of Australia. The Royal Australian Mint for the afternoon topped of a rather interesting day.

Day 5 of Snow Camp and the conditions were a little hazy... but that didn't stop the fun. Our budding skiers are ready to return to the slopes again soon!
