It's been a while since I have been active here and it's heartbreaking to know how much has happened in Aotearoa since.

There will be relocation stories in the coming months and years: After the tidy-up, after the news cameras and choppers are gone. Let's support each other and take the strength and learnings from Christchurch forward.

Our country ravaged, people and their livelihoods/ pets/ livestock left in devastation right now.

Taupō had a strong shake with several aftershocks this evening – a shallow M5.3 was felt widely by 5000+ people at 11:47 PM. Earthquakes are common for this area at VAL1. Remember, if you’re in bed when an earthquake occurs, Stay, Cover and Hold. https://www.geonet.org.nz/earthquake/2022p901216
