🟡 There's 1 week left until the free movie night at Astor Cinema Ararat! 🟡

For RUOK Day on the 10th of September 2026, Ararat Police in partnership with Astor Cinema and the Ararat Rural City Council, are holding a free movie event for people to get together for a fun filled night.

All we ask is you bring along a partner, friend, relative, workmate, teammate or anyone and check in on their welfare at some stage during the evening.

We understand this is not going to solve everyone’s mental health problems but if we can help one person the evening will be deemed a success.

🚨 Can You Help Identify the Owner of a Motorbike? 🚨

St Arnaud Police are seeking assistance to identify the owner of a motorbike currently in police possession.

The motorbike was recovered by St Arnaud Police during investigations into rural burglaries. Police believe the owner may be from the St Arnaud area and that the motorbike may have been stolen from a rural property sometime between October 2025 and March 2026.

⚠️ Please note: The motorbike pictured is a reference image only. The motorbike currently in police possession has been painted black. Police believe it is a Honda XR150 or a similar model.

If you believe this motorbike may belong to you, or you have information that may assist police in identifying the owner, please contact St Arnaud Police Station on (03) 5495 1000 and quote reference number 202603-W-0336.

Warracknabeal Police are seeking assistance to locate the owner of a Chiayo brand Wireless Portable Sound System (microphone kit) that was handed in.

The item, contained in a black carry case, was handed into Warracknabeal Police Station on 4 May 2026.

People of Stawell, did you see stones being stolen? 🪨

Between the 8th of August 2026 and the 10th of August, a mesh fence was cut to gain access to a business on O'Callaghan street Stawell.

Approximately 100 granite building stones were taken.

If you have seen anything in relation to this that may assist police with investigating, please attend the Stawell Police station or call on 5358 8222, or contact crimestoppers.com.au on 1800 333 000.

Today, and every day, we remember Detective Leading Senior Constable Neal Thompson and Senior Constable Vadim de Waart-Hottart and the tragedy that occurred in Porepunkah on 26 August 2025.
