Our Father’s Day Stall was held today in the school library, bringing plenty of excitement as students spent part of their morning choosing special gifts for their dads, grandfathers and other important people in their lives.

Our wonderful P&C and parent volunteers were there with big smiles, helping students select and wrap the perfect gift. It was a beautiful example of what it means to be a close-knit community generously giving their time to make the day special for our students.

We were incredibly grateful to have so many helpers this morning and look forward to celebrating them in our next newsletter. A particularly big shout-out must go to our incredible stall organiser, Tamika, who brings the entire event together for our school each year. What a star! 🌟

Thank you, Tamika, and all our wonderful volunteers. We wish all our dads, grandfathers and father figures a very happy Father’s Day this Sunday!

What a wonderful day at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre Parton the Zone athletes carnival.

It was fantastic to see our students step onto the track and field with confidence and determination! Competition at Zone level is tough, and every student should be incredibly proud of the way they represented Arcadia.

More than the results, it was their commitment, encouragement of others and fairness throughout the day that really stood out. They truly demonstrated what it means to live the Arcadian Way.

A very special congratulations to Nox, who had an outstanding day, finishing 1st in the Junior Boys High Jump, 1st in Shot Put and 3rd in the Long Jump! 🥇🥇🥉 Nox will now progress to the Sydney North Area Carnival, such an incredible achievement!

Special mention also to Vance, who placed 3rd in the Junior Boys High Jump. An outstanding result in a highly competitive field.

We are so proud of all our students who competed today. Thank you for representing our school with such pride 💚💛

💙 Celebrating Our Wonderful SASS Staff! 💙

This SASS Recognition Week, we want to say a huge thank you to the incredible staff who do so much behind the scenes to keep Arcadia Public School running smoothly each and every day.

🌟 Mrs Postill and Mrs Panich – our delightful office staff, who keep everything organised and are always there to help our students, families and staff.

🌟 Mrs Saunders and Mr Parker – our wonderful SLSOs, who support, encourage and care for our students in the classroom and playground.

🌟 Gina – our outstanding cleaner, who works tirelessly to keep our school clean, fresh and welcoming.

🌟 Mr Gary – our fantastic GA, who takes such pride in our school and keeps our beautiful grounds looking amazing.

Bullying No Way Week at Arcadia Public School

Last week, our students recognised Week, with this year’s theme “Small Acts, BIG IMPACT.”

Students explored how simple acts of kindness, respect, inclusion and speaking up can make a big difference to others.

✨Kindergarten explored how kindness and acceptance can positively impact others, discussed and rephrased the definition of bullying to make it meaningful to them, and learned ways to encourage respectful relationships. The students also enjoyed a visit from their class 5-6 buddies, who mentored them in maths through fun games.

CAPA Excellence at Arcadia Public School

We are incredibly proud of our talented students who continue to shine through the Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) at Arcadia Public School.

Last Thursday evening, our students took to the stage at the Pinaroo Concert for the Sydney North West Music Festival. This wonderful showcase of talent was a celebration of music and performance, and our students represented Arcadia with confidence, enthusiasm and pride. 🎶

Our Band students have also been busy performing, taking to the stage last term at The Hills Band Festival, where they performed in front of a large audience of family, friends and fellow musicians.

These opportunities allow our students to develop their confidence, creativity and love of performing, while experiencing the excitement of being part of large-scale musical events.

Congratulations to all of our performers - we are so proud of you!

🌟 Student Parliament in Action! 🌟

Today our students had the opportunity to have their voices heard at Student Parliament, presenting ideas, discussing motions and voting on ways to make our school even better.

The motions carried today included:
🎨 Introducing drawing and colouring at recess on Mondays and Tuesdays
🌿 Refreshing our Secret Garden
🏓 Purchasing some new ping pong bats and balls

We also asked students to share what they think makes our school such a great place to be. Their responses were pretty special! 💛

They told us they love:
💛 “So many nice people at this school.”
🏃 So many choices for play and sport
👫 “It’s like a massive playdate with friends!”
📚 Learning so much from their teachers
🌳 Having room for everyone to do their own thing
🤝 Opportunities to play with friends and make new ones
😊 Kind and caring teachers
🏫 Feeling safe, included and welcomed
⭐ Having so many different opportunities
❤️ The way everyone is welcomed and included

It was wonderful to hear our students speak so positively about their school and to see student voice in action. We’re very proud of the thoughtful, inclusive community our students are helping to create at Arcadia Public School. 🌟

🔎 Where’s Wally at Arcadia PS? ❤️🤍
Our students had a fantastic time searching high and low around the school for 20 hidden Wallys! The excitement was contagious as everyone explored the playground, trying to spot them all.
Next time you’re in the playground, keep your eyes peeled… can you find all 20 Wallys? 👀🔍
Students also made the most of their lunchtime with the library’s Well-Being Wagon rolling out, where creativity and fun always come alive! 🌟
