🚨 REMINDER – AusAlert National Test Today 🚨

Today at 1:30 pm (SA time), compatible mobile phones, smartwatches and tablets across South Australia will receive a TEST AusAlert notification as part of Australia’s new national emergency warning system.

📱 What to expect:
• Your device may vibrate and play a loud siren-like sound for around 10 seconds.
• A message will appear on your screen clearly stating that it is a TEST.
• No action is required.

This national test helps ensure the new AusAlert system is working correctly before it is introduced nationally later this year. The system will be used to deliver life-saving warnings for emergencies such as bushfires, floods, severe weather and other major incidents. (AusAlert)

⚠️ Please note: Critical Alerts will sound even if your phone is on silent or Do Not Disturb. If receiving the test could place someone at risk (for example, if they have a hidden safety phone), official advice is to switch the device off or place it in aeroplane mode before the test. (AusAlert)

But we can’t do it alone.

We’re looking for locals who want to give back to their community, learn new skills, meet great people and be part of something bigger.
