Fresh flavours. New faces. Every season awaits.

Soil building betel - so green and lush.

🌿 Soil Builder Groundcover Superstar!
The Betel Leaf plant is not only lush, shade-loving, and beautifully glossy, but it also helps build soil as it spreads. Widely eaten in many 'wrap' type dishes throughout SE Asia, this perennial grows well in our Queensland climate.

Camerata - Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra
Queensland’s extraordinarily hard working and talented gem of a chamber orchestra can only continue to entertain, engage and enthral audiences around the state with your support. Every single dollar makes a difference. Music changes lives. You can help by giving today.

✨As the end of the financial year draws closer, if you are in a position to support Camerata this year, we ask for your help to enrich communities through music✨

As a not-for-profit arts company, with limited government funding, Camerata relies on generous donors to share the joy of music with audiences across Queensland and beyond.

“I’d like to thank Camerata for coming to regional areas so people who would not usually have access to live classical music at such a professional level can experience the joy. I’ve been listening to classical music all my life and this was my first live performance. It was beautiful and so happy my boys could experience it. They absolutely love it too! Thank you!” Wendy Beddows, audience member, Imbil

You can make an impact this end of financial year and make music possible by supporting a musician through our chair program or giving to our end-of-financial-year appeal. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

Your support enables Camerata to empower artists, inspire audiences, and enrich communities through music.

Respect for our Rivers: Flood Lines

This beautiful collaboration between an historian Margaret Cook (writer, storyteller, researcher) and an artist Kylie Stevens - artwork and creative meandering. (creative problem solver and storyteller) is built on deep respect for the landscape and the facts of how our human decisions and choices directly impact the behaviour of the Bremer and its tributaries.

At the close of National Reconciliation Week it is provoking to ponder how things might have turned out had the founders listened to the first peoples and heard their experience and knowledge. That’s history now. Reconciliation Australia

Back at Bowen State High School again today for #3 in our Career Academy workshop series delivered with CareerForce Australia. What an impressive community this is. And what a terrific group of students we are working with.

A key component of Career Academy Grow Local Connection Bowen State High School for student participants is the guest panel at each session with invited representatives from local businesses and organisations sharing their career journeys, tips and inspiration, highlighting the range of opportunities locally in Bowen. What a stellar lineup at Session 2 recently - Geoff O'Connor & Therese Scotton of SBB PARTNERS - Accountants and Business Advisors (incorporating Rekenen's Accountants), Michelle Arandale Whitsunday Regional Council, Luke Nelson & John Nancarrow from Vee Jays Kalfresh. The personal career stories also highlight to students there's many pathways from school and SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES locally. Thank you to our panellists for taking the time to join us. Career Academy Grow Local Connection is a curated personal and career development program that equips students with tools to assist with first career choices and take the initiative to engage in career conversations. A BIG SHOUT OUT to Abbot Point Operations Community Support Program and SBB PARTNERS - Accountants and Business Advisors who are formally supporting the program and the many local businesses that are engaging with us to 'make it happen'. Special thanks to Emily Moore Teacher for coordination and encouragement of students
