Congratulations to Nepalese Australian Welfare Society - NAWS on reaching its 27-year milestone!

We’re incredibly proud of the achievements of our young people in sport. Sport plays an important role in keeping young people active, connected, and engaged, while encouraging them to spend less time on screens and build positive, healthy relationships within the community.

We look forward to continuing to work with our community partners to create more opportunities for young people to participate, grow, and thrive through sport.

🏆 SMASHING GOALS FOR A GREAT CAUSE! 🏆

We are incredibly proud of the students from Al-Faisal College Auburn who took over the GWS Giants training grounds for an unforgettable day of fitness, teamwork, and community spirit for the Vidal Challenge!

Putting their strength and determination to the test, these amazing students didn't just smash their fitness goals—they raised a whopping $10,000 for NSW Police Legacy!

This incredible donation will go directly toward supporting the families of our fallen police officers, ensuring they receive vital care and emotional support when they need it most.

A massive thank you to the students, staff, organizers, and the GWS Giants for hosting such an inspiring event. Your generosity, respect, and compassion are a true reflection of community spirit.

Our new Crime prevention officer met the seniors from our Tamil community last week.

One of the important questions asked was “What should I do if someone tries to take my belongings?”

Especially for seniors, know your physical limits and avoid putting yourself at risk. Your safety comes first. please do not resist, fight back or try to hold on your belongings.

In an emergency, call Tripe Zero (000) and provide as much details as you can about what happened and where you are.

If you are unsure where you are, the Emergency Plus app can help provide your exact location.

Another wonderful year celebrating Teej with our Nepalese community. With Nepal still recovering from the devastating floods, it was heartwarming to see the community come together with such hope, strength and resilience.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected.
Happy Teej♥️

STRANGER DANGER AWARENESS TALK

A big thank you to Young Ummah Academy in Auburn for welcoming us to speak with the children about the important topic of Stranger Danger and personal safety.

It was a great opportunity to educate and empower our young children with simple, practical tips to help keep themselves safe — including recognising unsafe situations, knowing who they can trust, and what to do if they ever feel uncomfortable or threatened.
Teaching our children today helps protect them tomorrow.

A special thank you to the teachers, staff and everyone involved for supporting this important community initiative.
