If you are in a car trapped in flash flooding, seek shelter in the safest location. This may be in your car or on the roof or higher ground. Call 000 (Triple Zero) as this is a life threatening situation.

Flash flooding can happen anywhere as heavy rainfall can cause flooding to run over the ground towards low-lying areas. As you can see from this photo - a few years back.

📞 For emergency storm or flood assistance, call NSW SES on 132 500. In a life-threatening emergency, always call 000 (Triple Zero).

🧡 Wear Orange Wednesday!
This is the one day of the year where the community throws on a splash of orange to say a massive thank you to all the incredible volunteers who work around the clock to keep the community safe.
From tarping roofs in the middle of the night to heading out on flood rescues, our crew at Auburn SES gives up their time out of goodwill for our local community.

👇 How you can get involved today:

2. Snap a Pic: Take a selfie or a group photo with your colleagues/family. We'd love to see it.

Our volunteers were honoured on the pitch this past Saturday, receiving a fantastic show of support from the crowd.

It was a privilege to be recognised alongside our friends at VRA Rescue NSW, NSW Ambulance and NSW Rural Fire Service.

We were incredibly impressed by your knowledge and your eagerness to jump in and try out the activities!

See you all again at our next community event on 20 May at Bunnings Lidcombe.

Test your knowledge by making the right call when it matters the most
