It is with great sadness that we found out this morning about the passing of one of our members. Steve Muckenthaler was a 32 year member at the Avenel CFA. Over his time at the brigade he attended the black Saturday fires and was presented with the National Emergancy Medal for his contribution during the 2019/ 20 bush fire season. Steve was a very active member during his time and happily passed on his knowledge to new members who joined the brigade. Steve will be missed by us all and our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. Thank you Steve for your service to the community and everything you did at the brigade. RIP Mate.

Hey again, thank you to everyone who has dropped off supplies to the station. We are well stocked and have alot more than what we know what to do with (we have supplied a couple of neighbouring brigades with supplies and there very grateful) If you want to donate supplies please consider dropping off at relief centre (seymour aquatic centre, euroa show grounds) you can also ring the shire and ask were they can be dropped off.
