The Pentland Group of Fire Brigades are again planning to undertake roadside burning this Sunday 26th April along Nerowie Road and Glenmore Roads beween Nortons Road and Bacchus Marsh - Balliang Rd Parwan from 11:30am. Smoke will be visible and traffic control will be in place for the duration of the burn.

This morning members from the Pentland Group came together for a joint training session at the Rowsley Fire Brigade for an information session on Fire Rescue Victoria and CFA (Country Fire Authority)'s RPAS programs.

Presented by FRV Chief Remote Pilot David, was great to look over the equipment and capabilities of these units.

Thanks to FRV RPAS and Edithvale Fire Brigade (CFA) for making the long trip over to show off their skills and equipment and a special mention the Rowsley Fire Brigade for their awesome catering of the session.

Your generosity and support are greatly appreciated! 🥰

As a community event, the Expo aimed to engage and educate our community and provide them a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with local emergency services.

It was also an opportunity for the emergency services to strengthen networks and facilitate improved collaboration, which enables us to work together more effectively.

🔥🚒🧯👩‍🚒 Emergency Management Training Exercise - Bacchus Marsh Aerodrome 🚓👮‍♂️🚔⛑

A Multi Agency Emergency Management Training Exercise will take place this Sunday 25th August 2024 at Bacchus Marsh Aerodrome to allow local agencies to exercise their capabilities within a complex, multi-agency situation and test the aerodrome emergency response plan.

The exercise will involve Victoria Police, Country Fire Authority (CFA), Victoria State Emergency Service (SES), Ambulance Victoria, St John’s Ambulance, the Bacchus Marsh Aerodrome Committee of Management, Moorabool Shire Council and other members of the planning committee

It is anticipated that this training exercise will further enhance inter-agency coordination and strengthen the region's capacity to respond effectively to complex emergencies.

Through visual message boards, the community will be made further aware of the training exercise in the lead up to the event, since simulated smoke will be used in the training exercise.

Please note: No public access to the declared training area at the Aerodrome during the training exercise.

Pentland Group of Fire Brigades has scheduled a Planned Burn on Wednesday 20th March, starting at 4:00 pm along Glenmore Road between Bacchus Marsh-Balliang Road, Rowsley and Geelong-Bacchus Marsh Road, Parwan.

You may see smoke in and around the area.

To ensure the safety of our crews and the local community, please avoid driving in the area of the planned burn if possible.
