๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ”ฅ Bacchus Marsh CFA is taking on the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿš’

On Saturday 12 September 2026, 16 members of the Bacchus Marsh Fire Brigade will be pulling on up to 25kg of firefighting gear and tackling the gruelling 28 floors of Melbourne's Crown Metropol as part of the 13th Annual Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb.

This incredible event brings together firefighters and emergency service personnel from across Australia to raise funds for causes that are close to every first responder's heart โ€“ cancer research, mental health support and su***de prevention. Funds raised support Lifeline, the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation, and the 000 Foundation.

Last year, the Bacchus Marsh CFA team raised an incredible $13,306 thanks to the generosity of our amazing families, friends and community. This year we're hoping to go even further! Our 2026 team is already training hard and we'd love your support.

๐Ÿ’™ Every donation makes a difference.
๐Ÿ’™ Every step helps save lives.
๐Ÿ’™ Every dollar supports vital cancer research and crisis support services.

Did you know?

Bacchus Marsh Fire Brigade responds alongside Ambulance Victoria to selected Triple Zero (000) medical emergencies as part of the Fire Medical Response (FMR) program.

For these incidents, CFA crews and Ambulance Victoria paramedics may be dispatched at the same time. This means you may see both an ambulance and a fire truck arrive when someone in the community needs urgent medical assistance.

If CFA crews arrive first, an ambulance is still on the way. Our members are specially trained to provide critical early intervention, including CPR and defibrillation, until paramedics arrive.

The aim of the program is simple โ€“ getting help to a patient as quickly as possible when every minute counts.

You can read more about the program in CFA's media release below.

Nine CFA brigades are trained and ready to respond to select medical Triple Zero calls as part of a new program that will officially commence on 27 November.

Important Parking Notice โ€“ Main St Fire Station

As we come into the cooler months, the Bacchus Marsh Fire Brigade would like to remind residents that the designated parking spaces outside the fire station on Main St are reserved exclusively for CFA vehicles and CFA members.

These spaces are critical for our emergency response, providing our volunteers with quick access to the station when responding to an incident. Unauthorized parking in these areas can significantly hinder emergency operations and the safe maneuvering of large fire vehicles in an already congested area.

We kindly ask all community members to respect these restrictions. Please utilize the available legal parking spaces in the surrounding area. Moorabool Shire Council actively monitors compliance and may issue fines for vehicles parked in the no-stopping zone without a CFA permit.

Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring our emergency services can operate safely and efficiently.
