Planning for the future of water starts with listening to our community. We want to hear what your priorities are for water supplies for the next 50 years.
We're now partway through our Urban Water Strategy workshop series, with upcoming visits to Omeo, Bairnsdale, Lakes Entrance, Johnsonville, Mallacoota and Buchan. Sessions have already been held in Paynesville, Orbost and Metung.
Wed 19 Aug: Omeo Community Hub, 4.00 - 6.00 pm
Thu 20 Aug: Bairnsdale St Maryโs Parish Hall, 4.00 - 6.00 pm
Tue 25 Aug: Lakes Entrance Mechanics Hall, 4.00 -6.00 pm
Thu 27 Aug: Twin Rivers, Johnsonville Hall, 1.00 - 3.00 pm
Tue 1 Sep: Mallacoota Community Clubrooms, 1.00 - 3.00 pm
Thu 3 Sep: Buchan Recreation Reserve, 4.00 -6.00 pm
The workshops are open to everyone - residents, community groups, businesses, etc. You'll hear about water supply and demand forecasts for the our water supply systems, factoring in population growth and climate change.
* Are there alternative water sources you want us explore?
* How often are you comfortable to have water restrictions?
* Would you pay more for increased security of water supplies?
Your input will help us inform development of our 2027 Urban Water Strategy.
RSVP is invited, but not essential, by emailing: [email protected] or phoning 1800 671 841.
