It's a busy Solstice Season but if you have time there's plenty happening in the Park
Hi Everybody,
Driven partly out of guilt at not organising more busy-bees, and partly out of fancy to mark Sunday afternoonโs Solstice by with fire, had a wont to put out a call. Spoiler was the adverse weather forecast of some showers for Sunday afternoon, (along with a niggling mystical worry about potent; that while fire is welcome against the current cold might not we be conjuring it up less welcome in the coming summer).
But the weather forecasts are not always right, and marking the Solstice somehow seems to be an comforting anchor in the current madness, so break out the brollies brave souls and give it a go!
So the plan is to light up to four piles adjacent to the new fence on the Old Padbury Road boundary. For some piles that consist of a lot of green material we would need to collect and apply dry wood to create enough heat to get them started. That would achieve some tidying up.
With enough troops we could also achieve some liberating overdue removal of nearby tree guards as a precursor to tree planting. But fires first.
The Solstice is at 4.25pm, so starting from 2pm.
Kind regards,
Andrew
