🙋 Have you ever thought about volunteering with us? National Volunteer Week is the perfect time to take the leap!

We're a friendly, passionate bunch, and we're looking for some special people to join our team in a few critical behind-the-scenes roles that make a big difference:
📅 Volunteer Coordinator - A flexible role you can do in your own time, helping to keep our volunteer calendar humming.
📱 Social Media Coordinator - Got a flair for creating content or want to build these skills? Help us grow and share the Ballarat Toy Library story online - also done in your own time!

These roles are a wonderful way to be part of the library, build skills, and connect with a lovely team of people (if we do say so ourselves).

It's National Volunteer Week, so we can't let the week go by without saying thank you to the incredible people who make our library hum!

Behind every toy on our shelves, every toy checked out, every toy being cleaned or repaired and so much more behind the scenes there's a volunteer giving their time, energy, and heart. Volunteers are the reason we exist, and we are so grateful for every single one of you.

A reminder that we are closed this Sunday for Mother's Day. 🌸

We celebrate all the mums and grandmothers in our lives, and an extra special thank you to those who volunteer to keep the doors open and the show on the road! You make such a difference - while often juggling a little one (or two) at your feet.

👀 You might notice fun new stuff on the shelves…

We’ve added a new Sensory Resources category to make it easier to find toys that support sensory play, motor skills, and calm, focused play 💛

It’s part of our “It Just Makes SENSE” project, which is all about making the library easier to navigate and more accessible for families.

This work has been supported by funding from the Australian Government Department of Social Services.

If there are any other Teeny Tiny Stevies lovers in our community, they’ll be heading to Ballarat next weekend! 💃🎶

It’s a relaxed session (no rushing in and out), and a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning (if you're not running a marathon)!
