And just like that… DAY ONE of our 2026 School Concert is a WRAP!

What an incredible day filled with energy, excitement, talent and SO much fun! 🤩 We could not be prouder of our amazing students!

Important information regarding concert
We are very excited to welcome you to tonight’s concert and to celebrate the incredible work our students have put into this performance.
The concert will commence promptly at 6:00pm. Please ensure that you allow plenty of time to arrive, park your car, enter the venue, purchase a program if you wish, and be seated in your allocated seat before 6:00pm. Please ensure your phones are turned off or on silent.
Our students have worked extremely hard in preparation for tonight’s performance. They have dedicated many hours to rehearsals and have put an enormous amount of effort into ensuring they are ready to perform for you. Late arrivals are very disruptive to the performance, both for our students who are performing and for audience members. We therefore strongly encourage everyone to arrive early and be seated well before the concert begins.

*No Photography or Filming
We would like to strongly emphasise that there is absolutely no photography or filming permitted during the performance due to Child Safe Standards.

*Allocated Seating
Please be aware that tonight’s shows are completely SOLD OUT. Every seat has been allocated, so it is essential that you sit in your designated seat. Please do not move to another seat, even if you see one that appears to be unoccupied, as that seat may be reserved for another ticket holder who has not yet arrived.

*Please Stay Until the End
We would greatly appreciate your support by staying for the full duration of the performance. Our students have worked incredibly hard, and every student deserves the opportunity to perform to a supportive audience. Leaving during the performance can be distracting for both the performers and other audience members.
Your support, encouragement and applause mean so much to our students and make all of their hard work worthwhile.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us create a respectful and supportive environment for our students. We hope you thoroughly enjoy tonight’s concert and join us in celebrating the wonderful achievements of our performers.

Dear Families,
Our thoughts are with our Nepalese families and community at this incredibly difficult time, following the tragic events that have occurred in Nepal.
We recognise that many in our school community may have family, friends and loved ones who have been directly affected. Please know that we are thinking of you and holding you close in our hearts during this time of grief and uncertainty.

It's time for another Grade 6 graduation fundraiser and this time we have HEAPS more chocolates!

We have a giant water tub filled with mini chocolates including Mars Bars, packets of M&M's and packets of Maltesers (all mini) and we need someone to guess how many chocolates are inside. The person who either guesses the exact amount of chocolates or closest to the amount will take home the whole tub.

Students will be able to bring their money to guess at lunch time on Fridays in week 7 and week 9.

Everyone attending our school concert will be able to guess as they enter the Founders Hall before both Wednesday performances and before the Thursday performance.

Guesses will also be able to be made at the school office any other day before the winner is announced during the week 9 assembly (Friday 11th September).

Guesses are $2 each or $5 for three guesses.

Student collection details at the end of the evening concert

Dear parents and carers,

The concert is is only one week and one day away from happening. We have attached some key details about collection of students on the night. As you can imagine, attempting to hand over 600 plus students back to parents and carers is one that requires patience and understanding. We have attached the map of where cohorts of groups will be distributed.

This will be re-iterated at the end of the show, but we are providing the map in preparation for all and to prepare students on how they will be collected.

If you have any questions, please contact your teacher on the night.

Today Delacombe Primary School students attended the launch of the National Day against bullying and violence. This year the theme is ‘Small Acts, Big IMPACT’, which shows us that small actions – like including someone, speaking up, or showing kindness – can create meaningful change. The students then participated in bullying-related activities throughout the morning.

Some of our Grade 5-6 students who attended Somers Camp this week and last week with Ms Simpson. Looks like they are having a great time meeting lots of students from other schools.
