Help make Ballarat safer by sharing your experiences. ๐Ÿ’ฌ

The Safer Ballarat Mapping Tool is an ongoing opportunity to tell us where you feel safe or unsafe in public spaces and why.

Recent feedback has highlighted concerns about pedestrian crossings and driver behaviour, while Lake Wendouree continues to be identified as a safe and welcoming place thanks to its lighting, activity and community atmosphere.

Your feedback helps us better understand how people experience public spaces across Ballarat and can help inform future improvements.

๐Ÿ†You only have 10 days to nominate people for Ballarat's Senior Awards 2026! ๐Ÿ†

Did you know that in 2023, community treasure Cheryl Szรถllล‘si was awarded the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Award at the Ballarat Seniors Awards?

Cheryl co-ordinates Rainbow Coffee Ballarat, an intergenerational support group for LGBTIQA+ people. During her tenure at the head of Rainbow Coffee, she has increased membership threefold! She also plays a key role in welcoming q***r folks who are new to Ballarat or are new to the LGBTIQA+ community.

Cheryl is committed to keeping our older LGBTIQA+ community members active and connected and her efforts are greatly appreciated by the rainbow community here in Ballarat.

Who deserves recognition this year?
