The Draft Plan outlines a vision for how people and goods will move around the Far West over the next 20 years, and how transport can better support local communities, businesses, services, and visitors.
• Improving access to essential services, particularly for remote communities
• Improving the safety and reliability of the road network
• Supporting more reliable and accessible passenger transport
• Strengthening freight connections for key industries
• Improving local access within towns, including walking and cycling
• Increasing network resilience to extreme weather and climate impacts
• Improving cross-border connectivity with Victoria, South Australia, and Queensland
