Peter F got in touch after a visit to Moruya Hospital with his two grandchildren, where they happened to see the Toll SouthCare Rescue Helicopter land. Pilot Pete was happy to show them around the aircraft and clearly made an impression, "Pete explained all aspects of the helicopter and he was very polite and patient with the young ones. I would just like to say to Toll that people like Pete are an amazing asset to your organisation."

It's never easy saying goodbye to good people! After five years as an Aircrew Officer with Toll Ambulance Rescue, Tim McAllister is packing up and heading to Queensland, a move he summed up as "bittersweet". Tim has been a trusted teammate and fantastic operator, and whilst we're sad to see him leave, we're grateful for the contribution he's made to the communities of NSW and ACT.

From all of us at Toll Ambulance Rescue, good luck with your next adventure, Tim - Queensland is lucky to have you!

Photographer Simon Whittaker captured our helicopter arriving on scene during Exercise Paratus, a multi-agency emergency response exercise designed to test readiness for a complex mass casualty incident.

Led by NSW Ambulance, Exercise Paratus brought together emergency services from across NSW, including NSW Police, Fire and Rescue NSW, SES and St John Ambulance, to test their response to a large-scale simulated disaster at North Head, Manly.

With simulated fatalities, trapped patients, crashed vehicles and a rescue helicopter response, this intense training exercise challenged crews to work together to manage multiple casualties and coordinate patient care under pressure.

Amanda wrote in to us to thank the crew of Rescue 209 for the extra care shown to her and her son after his motorbike accident.

"One doctor had to travel home a different way to be able to fit me in to be with my son, they were so great with him and I. They picked us up from Clarence, near Lithgow and took us to Westmead. My son had been thrown off his motorbike and they helped support him and get him to hospital quickly. They helped calm me and my nerves as it was just a huge intense thing happening and I was overwhelmed (I also do not like flying at all). Forever grateful for them and what they did for us."
