Golden Plains Early Years

Golden Plains Early Years This page is dedicated to providing valuable information for Golden Plains people with young children. We welcome ideas, questions and comments.

ABOUT US

Golden Plains Shire Council's Early Years Services (including Child and Family Services) provides a wide range of services to support parents and carers who are raising children. These services reflect the diversity of children's interests, abilities and needs, and support parental involvement in play, learning and care. We offer opportunities for children to develop to their full potent

ial and strive to create a place where children are encouraged to play, grow and learn safely. While Council operates some activities and services, others are provided in partnership with, or solely by, state and federal governments, community organisations and private businesses. Our key early years services include:
• Playgroup
• Family Day Care
• Occasional Care (Inverleigh)
• Kindergartens (x5)
• Maternal & Child Health Services. HOUSE RULES

Have you ever wondered how Maternal and Child Health appointments change as your child grows?

Maternal and Child Health services support families and carers with young children from birth through to school age, helping them get the best possible start in life. MCH nurses connect with families at 10 key stages of development, offering guidance on nutrition, sleep and settling, growth, and overall child and family wellbeing.

The 2 year visit is the 9th key age and stage appointment, focusing on your child's development, communication skills and behaviour as they move through the toddler years.
