Families today, with school-age children, have very busy schedules. We’re looking forward to celebrating our wonderful dads and father figures at our Father’s Day Prayer Experience and Sports Morning on Tuesday 1st September at 8:45AM in the St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Courtyard.
It’s always a joyful morning of prayer, connection, and fun — and we can’t wait to share it with our families.

Please note that our Prep Open Day has been postponed from 1st September to Tuesday 20th October.
We still warmly welcome all prospective families to come along and celebrate fathers and father figures. 💛

Week 6 provided many opportunities for students to stretch their thinking, embrace challenges and celebrate their learning successes across a range of engaging experiences 📚

Prep/1/2 -

📦The Prep/1/2 class IGA is officially open! We used our iPads to go onto Woolworths online to check real‑world prices, compare what’s reasonable, and decide whether some items make more sense sold in small groups rather than individually. We are excited to be the shopkeepers and use money to make transactions and give change. 🛒

Year 3/4 -

In Year 3/4, students have been learning about the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. This week, they explored how artists have represented the Trinity throughout history before creating their own unique pieces of Trinity-inspired artwork. Students then reflected on their creations, explaining how different colours, symbols and design elements represented God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. It was wonderful to see their creativity, faith and understanding come together in such meaningful and thoughtful works of art.

Year 5/6 -

This week our Year 5/6 students have been busy transforming their research into eye-catching information report posters on their chosen animal.

It has been wonderful to see students continuing to grow in confidence and capability, and we look forward to all the exciting learning still to come this term 🚀😊

🔬 SCIENCE WEEK ROTATIONS AT ST JOSEPH’S!
Our students spent Thursday afternoon diving into hands‑on science experiences that sparked curiosity, teamwork, and plenty of joyful learning. Each rotation invited them to explore how things grow, change, and support the world around us — all through creative, messy, and meaningful activities.

They moved through three exciting stations: planting vegetables and herbs in our garden beds, making slime to investigate states of matter, and building bird feeders to care for local wildlife. The smiles were huge, the questions were thoughtful, and the learning was hands‑on and full of wonder. 🌿

🌱 Prep Open Day – Science Week Fun!
On Tuesday our little scientists had an amazing morning exploring our theme “Seeds of Science: Nurturing Knowledge for All.”
From colourful salt painting experiments to matching and describing animals, building their own farms, and playing together on the playground, our current Preps and visiting children were busy discovering, creating, and learning through hands‑on fun. 💚
