Murray River Council Libraries You can visit our libraries in Barham, Moulamein & Mathoura. Membership is FREE! Welcome to the Murray River Council Libraries Page. But first, a bit about us.

This page is designed to be a space where we can engage with our residents, businesses and general communities on various topics. We invite all community members to use the page as a platform for share ideas and discussing relevant topics with us, and with one another. The Murray River Council Local Government Area covers an area of 11,865km2, is home to approximately 12,850 residents and is locat

ed in the southern Riverina, 800km south of Sydney and 205km north of Melbourne. The main population centres include Barham, Mathoura, Moama, Moulamein, Murray Downs, Tooleybuc and Wakool. Other settlements include Bunnaloo, Goodnight, Koraleigh and Womboota. Murray River Council has a wealth of physical features including majestic sweeping plains; magnificent stands of Redgum forests and is almost totally surrounded by the mighty Murray River and its tributaries. The area’s natural assets prove to be a large attraction for locals and visitors alike and form the backdrop to many recreational activities. With tourism, industry and an idyllic rural lifestyle, Murray River is a growing region with much to offer. At Murray River Council we have several Social Media pages, all of which serve a different purpose. Our Official Council page will provide information on
• Council news and public notices
• Notification regarding construction works and service disruptions that may impact on residents
• Council events, activities and programs
• Community meetings and opportunities to provide input into decision making processes. Our MRC Libraries Page will provide information on

The Final Tour Dates are confirmed...

This is all I can squeeze into my SA & Vic Tour for 2026. I'm so thankful for every library who will host me.

I understand I'm not going to make it to everyone, but I've tried to cover some towns I've never managed to get to before.

If I've missed you on this tour, let me know. I'll be looking to schedule 2027 later this year and we might be able to include your town next time.

Library tours are so much fun. It's lovely to meet the library staff, and even more enjoyable to catch up with readers.

I'll share booking links as we get closer to these events, but if you are keen, pop the dates in your diary so you don't miss out.

Grave Risk will be out in time for this tour and I'll be preparing my new Detective Jenny Williams series in November, so I'll be right on the cusp of a new release by the time I tour the South East and into Victoria.
