Barrine Rural Fire Brigade Barrine Rural Fire Brigade is a Volunteer Brigade that is part of the Queensland Rural Fire Service ( Innisfail District ).

Barrine is situated 64km from Cairns via the Gillies ( range ) Highway. Our Brigade has 2 Medium Attack Trucks. 51 is a Isuzu Duel Cab with a water capacity of 1200 litres of water and 52 is a Isuzu Single Cab with 2000 litres of water with a high pressure hose real. We are fairly quiet in our local area with regards to fires and a majority of the call outs are Ravenshoe, Herberton, Mareeba and Di

mbulah assisting other crews. Some members of our team, have been deployed into other parts of the state to assist with wildfires and also with natural disasters like cyclones and floods.
