Bassendean Little Free Library A Little Free Library promotes reading and community literacy through our "take a book, leave a book" book exchange. Donations of books happily accepted.

Our Little Free Library is located at 23 Kenny St in Bassendean, Western Australia. We are the first Little Free Library in Bassendean, and about the 19th in Western Australia. As of June, 2016 there are over 40,000 Little Free Libraries world wide. The books are always for free, never for sale, and we are happy for you to take a book and bring another book sometime later if you like - or not. The

"LITTLE FREE LIBRARY" is a nonprofit organization that connects neighborhoods around the love of reading through free book exchanges. In 2015, Little Free Library’s work was recognized by the Library of Congress for Best Practices in Literacy. Currently, the organization is working to increase the number of Little Free Libraries in the United States and around the globe with an initiative to have 100,000 registered book exchanges in place by the end of 2017.
