Another great morning!

As always with WA weather, I swear the rain stopped when i started and then it started again as soon as i had packed up and got home.
A little more chaos this morning compared with last week, but the end result is much the same - another 250 plants in the ground. Some young grommets also got to have a crack, and stake their 'I planted that one' claim. Lets hope they last to next planting season!

Hi All, it still looks like a bit of rain early tomorrow morning so I have pushed planting back until 10AM.
If you’re like me and not to bothered by rain, bring your rain jacket and come down from 10am, otherwise feel free to come down when you think it has stopped 😄

Thanks everyone who came down for this mornings planting. A great turn out and 350 trees in the ground!

Its great to have so many new faces from around the Broadway reserve area coming down and hanging out together. Some people come for the planting and others come for the community, and i think we had the best of both this morning!

We'll be out again next Sunday morning as well with another 250 plants!

Hi All, It’s that time of year again — were going to be planting this Sunday Morning. We’ve got another 500-600 plants this time, including 300 trees, so it's going to be a busy couple of mornings.

Where: Broadway Reserve (Centenary Ct side)We’re focusing on planting native trees in the southern part of the reserve where we planted last year and the old path has been removed to try and create a leafy canopy that’ll (hopefully) keep the weeds down and give our shrubs some room to breathe. Last years success rate was much better than the first year so my intent is to just be persistent. We will also have alocal primary school planting in the adjacent area to get more trees in as well.

What to bring: Sturdy shoes GlovesWater, sunscreen, and a hatLong sleeves to avoid getting scratched

When: 9AM Sunday 21st and then 28th as well pending weather

Forecast: Current forecast is a small amount of rain in the morning, so nothing to deter us from going ahead just yet.

Let’s get some trees in the ground!

Another successful morning out taking care of the new seedlings. Thanks to everyone that came down!
It’s been a promising winter hopefully setting the plants up for a good run through summer.
If anyone wants to organise another busy bee to do some more weeding in spring, let me know and we’ll make it happen! It’s a lovely time of year at the reserve 🌱🌿🌾

Hi All,

A lot of our trees are looking super healthy after a big winter of rain!

I’m planning on doing a bit of hand weeding this Sunday morning from 9am if anyone is interested. Please let me know !

Sunday mornings forecast is looking perfect for another day of planting. We'll be down at Broadway Reserve from 9am off the main central pathway planting some shrubs and groundcovers.
We've got quite a few plants to get in, so the more hands, the better—and the sooner we can all enjoy a well-earned cup of coffee, basking in the satisfaction of a super-productive Sunday morning. 😄
If you can, please bring along a pair of gloves.

Hi All,

We had a great morning out Sunday week ago and managed to plant most of the trees which are getting a much needed watering. At this stage the second planting day will be happening next Sunday the 13th.

If you can make it down that would be great! I will reconfirm Friday in case the weather forecast changes for the worse.
