Police are seeking assistance from the community following the theft of a vehicle from Mort Street, Lithgow overnight.

📍 Location: 134 Mort Street, Lithgow
📅 Timeframe: Between 3:00pm Monday 31 August 2026 and 5:00am Tuesday 1 September 2026

Stolen Vehicle Details:
▪️ 2012 Holden 4x4 Ute
▪️ Black in colour
▪️ NSW Registration: CSZ51Z

The vehicle has since been located however police require any information/footage.

👮‍♂️ Bathurst Police are seeking the public's assistance following a fail-to-stop collision involving a cyclist in Bathurst.

📍 Location: Russell Street and Seymour Street, Bathurst
📅 Date: Wednesday, 26 August 2026
⏰ Time: Between 12:15pm and 12:22pm

🚗 Police are seeking information regarding a silver Mazda 3 or Mazda 6 travelling north on Russell Street that turned right onto Seymour Street and allegedly collided with a cyclist. The vehicle was last seen travelling along Seymour Street.

🔎 Investigators are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have information that could assist police, to come forward. Police are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who was in the area at the time, including motorists who may have dashcam footage.

👮🏻‍♀️🚓 SENIOR CONSTABLE LYNN STONE - 40 INCREDIBLE YEARS OF SERVICE! 🚓👮🏻‍♀️

Yesterday, we said farewell to Senior Constable Lynn Stone as she marched out after an incredible 40 years of service with the NSW Police Force, including 33 years proudly serving the Cowra community.

For many of us, it's hard to imagine Cowra Police without Lynn. She's been a friend, mentor, problem-solver and a constant source of support for so many over the years. No matter what was happening, Lynn always had time for a chat, a laugh, or a kind word.

Lynn has seen generations of police and staff come through the station and has played a part in shaping so many careers along the way. While her experience and knowledge will certainly be missed, it's her friendly nature, positive attitude and infectious smile that we'll miss the most.

The impact Lynn has had on our workplace and community can't be measured in years of service alone. It's reflected in the friendships she's built, the people she's helped, and the respect and admiration she's earned from everyone lucky enough to know her.

While we're excited for Lynn as she begins a well-deserved retirement, there's no doubt she'll leave a space that can't be filled. We'll miss seeing her around the station, hearing her laugh, and being greeted by that familiar smile that could brighten even the busiest day.

Thank you, Lynn, for everything you've given to the NSW Police Force, the Cowra community, and all of us who have had the privilege of working alongside you. We wish you nothing but happiness in this next chapter.

A black wallet containing cash and other items was located outside Anytime Fitness, Lithgow on 10 July 2026.

Unfortunately, there were no identifying cards or documents inside, so we've been unable to work out who it belongs to. We've exhausted all available enquiries, and, at this stage, no one has reported losing a wallet matching this description.

If you have lost a wallet and believe it may be yours, please contact Lithgow Police Station and be prepared to provide details of the wallet and its contents to assist with identification.

Has anyone seen this motorcycle?

Black and Orange KTM 790 Adventure - registration HNB-39 (NSW)

The bike was stolen from Lithgow High Street and was last seen sometime between 5pm on 09/05/2026 and 2pm on 10/05/2026. Police have exhausted all enquiries and are now seeking the assistance from the public to try and locate the bike.

A man will face court charged with alleged drug supply offences following a vehicle stop in the state’s west.

In November 2025, Western Region Enforcement Squad commenced Strike Force Lazard to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs into western New South Wales.

Following investigations, about 2.10pm yesterday (Wednesday 12 August 2026), Chifley Traffic and Highway Patrol officers stopped a Mercedes vehicle on Durham Street, Bathurst.

The driver – a 29-year-old man – was subjected to roadside testing, which allegedly returned a positive reading for methylamphetamine.

Police searched the man and allegedly located and seized methylamphetamine and co***ne, allegedly worth an estimated street value of $10,000.

He was arrested and taken to Bathurst Police Station, where two mobile phones were also seized, to undergo forensic examination.

The man was charged with supply prohibited drug and greater than indictable and less commercial quantity and two counts of possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 4 today (Thursday 13 August 2026), where he was granted conditional bail to reappear before Bathurst Local Court on Wednesday 9 September 2026.
