πŸš¨πŸ””Smoke Alarm Action Day (SAAD)πŸ””πŸš¨

1 June is Smoke Alarm Action Day.

Fire and Rescue NSW, together with fire services across Australia, is urging people to check they have a working smoke alarm.

Last year, nearly half the homes damaged or destroyed by fire in NSW did not have a working smoke alarm!

Be smart and take part in Smoke Alarm Action Day, and test your smoke alarm works!

A working smoke alarm is your best early warning sign of a fire, giving you and your loved ones the chance to get out, stay out, and call Triple Zero (000).

🚨 Test smoke alarms monthly
πŸ”‹ Change batteries when needed
🏠 Ensure alarms are installed in appropriate locations throughout the home
πŸ”Ÿ Replace smoke alarms every 10 years
