We're only days away from it being officially spring... And time for our Spring Fair at the The Secret Garden Community Hub.

If you've heard the latest NDIS news, you might know that funding for social participation is set to be reduced.

We're inviting you to see exactly what meaningful daily participation looks like at Conie Avenue.

Come and see the program in action on Wednesday 16 September, 10am-2pm at our day program in Baulkham Hills. You'll find participants cooking, gardening, creating art and getting active, with a full week of programs from music therapy to community sports to weekend outings.

Whether you're a participant, family member, carer, support coordinator or transition teacher, we're inviting you to have a walk through, try some hands-on activities, and meet the team.

Cold didn't stop everyone having a great day to the Hawkesbury Fest on the weekend!

On offer: woodworking pieces like bee hotels, bird feeders and caddies, photography by participant and local artist Megan, handmade soaps, candles and roll-on perfumes, and plants from Secret Garden, with all funds going back into participant activities and program resources.

The morning had a bit of sunshine break through, then turned cold and wet around 11am, but people kept coming and supporting local stallholders.

We had a great chat with River FM about the upcoming Secret Garden Spring Fair, and were glad to welcome Susan Templeman MP who visited the stall and picked up a few participant-made pieces.

Thank you to Hawkesbury City Council for hosting, and to everyone who stopped by to say hello and support our participants. 🙌

And here’s our first stop! Did you catch Dorelle and Bianca yesterday?

The Hills Schools Expo was a whirl of great conversations with carers, families, educators, and fellow service providers. The theme of the day was definitely social connections - how to build friendships, develop confidence, and feel a sense of belonging.

These are skills we all need!

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us and share their experiences.
