🔹The rivalry continues! 🔹

Round 2 of the Fremantle College Cup saw staff and Year 12 students face off in an action-packed game of Dodgeball.

After claiming victory in Round 1, staff arrived full of confidence, completing warmups and talking a big game. However, the students had other ideas.

Fast throws, quick reflexes and strong teamwork saw the Year 12s take control early, leaving the staff team fighting for survival. The crowd erupted when the final winning throw sealed the victory for the students and levelled the competition.

With one win each, it all comes down to the final round in Week 10, where the 2026 Fremantle College Cup champion will be decided.

🔹 Specialist ICT in Action 🔹

Our Year 10 Specialist ICT students recently showcased a range of robotic games they designed and built for the school community to experience and enjoy.

From pinball and shooting games to a fully functioning claw machine, students used LEGO EV3 Mindstorms technology to develop advanced robotic creations that combined coding, engineering and problem-solving skills.

Students from across the College interacted with the games to experience firsthand the creativity and innovation of our Specialist ICT program.

A fantastic display of technical skill, collaboration and ingenuity from our talented students!

🔹 What’s happening in G*T 🔹

Our Year 7 Gifted and Talented students have settled beautifully into life at Fremantle College.

Coming from a range of different primary schools, many students arrived not knowing anyone else in their cohort. Through orientation, transition activities and shared experiences, students have quickly formed strong connections and embraced every opportunity presented to them.

Earlier this term, Year 7 G*T families also came together for a transition workshop with Kylie Bice from Growing Up Greatness, exploring the gifted profile, supported risk taking and the journey ahead through the Gifted and Talented program.

Students recently completed their final transition activity with an overnight camp at Jarrahfall Bush Camp in Dwellingup, where they challenged themselves through activities including abseiling, rock climbing, archery tag and a night bush walk.

This cohort has approached every experience with enthusiasm, resilience and a willingness to step outside their comfort zone. We are excited to watch them continue to grow across their secondary school journey.

🔹What's happening in Sport? 🔹

🏀A fantastic effort from our Year 10 Boys Basketball team at the lightning carnival.

The boys demonstrated a high level of skill, determination and sportsmanship throughout a full day of high intensity competition, finishing with four wins, two draws and only one narrow one-point loss.

Their hard running, unselfish play and support for one another stood out across the day and reflected the positive culture within the team.

A special mention also to our upper school student helpers Austin, Lyndon and Acksle, who assisted with coaching and umpiring throughout the carnival and set a fantastic example for the group.

Well done to all involved.
