π Farms offer wonderful spaces for children to explore, but natural water bodies like dams, creeks, and ponds come with hidden risks. Muddy banks can become incredibly slippery, easily causing a child to lose their footing.
Because toddlers are naturally top-heavy, a simple slip can quickly turn into a dangerous fall into the water. They are also incredibly curious and easily drawn to items floating on the surface.
While it is safest to remove any floating objects that might attract their attention, nothing replaces active, close adult supervision right at the water's edge to keep them safe π
