HEALTHY MEALS IN ACTION || As part of their integrated cooking project, our Year 12 VCE Vocational Major students designed and prepared a healthy meal tailored to the needs of a case study person with a specific dietary requirement.

Students researched dietary needs, selected appropriate recipes, costed ingredients, prepared and cooked their meals, and reflected on both the final dish and the skills they developed throughout the process.

This hands-on project combined nutrition, planning, budgeting and practical cooking skills, helping students apply their learning in a real-world context.

THANK YOU SHAUN MOONEY || Last night we gathered to thank our former School Council Treasurer Shaun Mooney, who recently stepped down after serving in the role since the establishment of the college in 2017.

Over nine years, Shaun’s financial expertise, steady guidance and generous commitment have played an important role in shaping our college and supporting opportunities for our students.

We thank Shaun for his dedication to our community and wish him all the best for the future.

GOAL, COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS & HOUSE SPIRIT || As part of the Community Connections Program and our ‘students supporting students’ initiative, last week Year 10 students ran a game of Capture the Flag with some of our Year 7 students. The afternoon was filled with teamwork, strategy and house spirit, with Ricketts House taking out the win!

Yesterday, our Year 8 Waratah and Southern students enjoyed the opportunity to head off campus with their GOAL groups for a walk and lunch, continuing to build positive connections and relationships within their mentor groups.

THE PUSH-UP CHALLENGE 2026 💪 || The Push-Up Challenge begins tomorrow, and Beaumaris Secondary College is once again taking part throughout June to raise awareness and funds for mental health and su***de prevention.

This year, our community will once again be supporting headspace, recognising the important work they do in supporting young people both at BSC and across Australia.

Participants are encouraged to complete push-ups (or an exercise of their choice!) across the month of June while learning more about mental health and wellbeing along the way.

Students, staff and families are welcome to join or donate to the Beaumaris Secondary College team via the link below:
