Hundreds of cardboard boxes, blankets and pillows - ready for you to build your dream cubby. Fort Town is a free, drop-in build for everyone: toddlers, teenagers, parents, grandparents, all in the same room at the same time. There's nothing to book, nothing to bring, and nothing to get right. Build for five minutes or stay the afternoon. It's happening right next door to the Beechworth branch, so pop in on your way past.

Join author Moreno Giovannoni for a fascinating conversation about his award winning book The Immigrants.

Beechworth Library is delighted to present an evening with author Moreno Giovannoni discussing his acclaimed novel, The Immigrants. Winner of The Age Book of the Year and the NSW Christina Stead Prize for Fiction, and shortlisted for the Victorian Premier's Literary Award, this deeply moving semi-autobiographical novel draws on Giovannoni's family's journey from San Ginese to the tobacco-growing valleys of the Ovens and Buffalo Rivers, vividly portraying the migrant experience and the rich Italian culture that flourished in Myrtleford during the 1960's.
