Your kindness of spirit will bring hope and joy to a child who asks for their most desired wish-these presents are practical items such as backpacks, a longed- after toy or food or new school stationary and these children are who would otherwise go without. 'Cause a little Christmas kindness goes a long way ... and what a way to spread the spirit .It's little actions like this that we are committed to ACTION that transforms the lives of children, breaking the cycle of hopelessness and ending child poverty, one child at a time! But we can't do this without people like you joining and becoming an ELF! People who are caring and kind. An Elf can help just at Christmas in a one-off act of kindness or at different times year long. Our Elfs work hard throughout the year and exist to increase resiliency and inspire big dreams for children living in low-income communities by providing these and other inspirational experiences and nurturing personal relationships and providing essentials such as school uniforms, school socks & shoes, undies, books, blankets, pillows ,towels etc. This year has been different ! We have much much more demands .We are living in extraordinary times , it's a reality, this year, that during our Covid-19 health emergency it has been changing our lives in ways that we could not have imagined this time last year .Thankfully throughout the past months Be An Elf volunteers have stepped up delivering essential services to children we know in hardship . It has given back to all of our volunteer Elfs life-changing lessons filled with hope as we checked in on vulnerable little children through a personal home visit each week... a change to good to turn cries of despair into tears of happiness. More than ever, families are in utter despair but our Elfs are providing the ongoing love and support that’ll empower a child to thrive. We are all volunteers - and to this we commit ourselves, as Elfs to search unceasingly for the child who needs to know that someone cares, the child who needs to know they have a place in this world, that they matter, and that someone believes in them. Homeless little children, Hungry children, Hurting children. When money runs out or family breaks down and a child is growing up in a house ( or in a tent or car) from hell - where do local little Aussies in danger turn for help ?
