We love looking back on the commitment, teamwork and school spirit shown by our Beerwah SHS students, staff and support crew during this year’s Kokoda Challenge.

Throughout the video, you can also spot some of our 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 showing the resilience, determination and teamwork that make this event so special.

At around the 𝟭 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝟱𝟬 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸, you will hear one of our Beerwah SHS Deputy Principals speak about the importance of the support crew — a powerful reminder that events like this are about much more than crossing the finish line.

As someone who regularly participates in this annual event, his words capture the resilience, encouragement and community connection that make Kokoda such a meaningful experience for our school.

✨ 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱’𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 ✨

A huge shout-out to the incredible Beerwah SHS staff and students who are taking part in the 2026 World’s Greatest Shave on Monday 15 June. Our participants have already raised over $1400. Please help to increase this fundraising effort if you are able to.

By shaving or cutting their hair, our participants are showing courage, compassion and community spirit while helping raise awareness and funds to support people impacted by blood cancer.

We are so proud of everyone involved for stepping up, supporting such an important cause, and representing the values of Beerwah State High School.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ 𝗥𝗨𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗢𝗥𝗦 ✨ 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹

What a fantastic annual event celebrating energy, participation and school spirit!

The rain stayed away, and for the first time in the event’s history, 𝗥𝘂𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗼𝗿𝘀 moved to the oval yesterday afternoon. This change reflects the exciting improvements taking place across our school, with enhanced facilities continuing to support great experiences for our students.

This event also marks the start of our events leading up to our two-day Athletics Carnival on Monday and Tuesday of Week 10.

It was wonderful to see such a positive atmosphere as students supported one another, gave their best and embraced the fun of this much-loved annual event.

We were delighted to send this amazing team to the recent Readers Cup. 📖

Once again Beerwah was represented with enthusiasm in this quiz like competition at Maroochydore SHS.

With well over 20 teams competing from our region the library was certainly buzzing with energy.

So wonderful to see young people embracing reading with such positivity.

🔥 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟭𝟬 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹 🔥
What a fantastic fireworks evening we had last Thursday. A big thank you to Mr Muchow, Mr Vallely and Mr Schneider, along with all of the Year 10 Extension Science students who braved the cold to make the night such a success. Well done to all involved, and we look forward to more great events in the future.

🎮✨ 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝟵 𝘿𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙚𝙨: 𝙂𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣! ✨🎮

Our Year 9 Digital Technologies students have been bringing their ideas to life through their game design projects using Godot.

This term students have been developing their skills in coding, problem-solving, testing, debugging and creative design as they build interactive games. It has been fantastic to see students experimenting with movement, levels, sprites, mechanics and player experience while applying their learning in a practical and engaging way.

This project is a great example of students using digital tools with purpose - turning ideas into playable products and showing persistence when solving design challenges.

👏 𝙒𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙚 to our Year 9 Digital Technologies students on their creativity, focus and growing confidence as game designers!

✨OUTSTANDING RESULTS✨

Congratulations to our Senior BDC for their outstanding achievements at their second competition of the year, Brisbane Performing Arts Challenge.

This was the first year our dancers were competing in the excellence sections, and the competition was incredibly tough. To walk away with eight placings in big sections is a testament to the hard work and determination of the staff and students in BDC, both in rehearsals and on stage.

🌟 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗳𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿! 🌟

This morning, we held a special celebration breakfast to acknowledge our Year 12 students as they reach the halfway point of their final year of schooling.

This important milestone recognises the 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁, 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 our seniors have shown so far in 2026. We are proud of the way they continue to work towards meeting 𝗤𝗖𝗘/𝗤𝗖𝗜𝗔 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, staying on track with their learning, and giving their best across all subjects.

👏 Congratulations to our Year 12 cohort. Keep working hard, supporting one another and making the most of every opportunity in your final year.
